That seems to be what’s happening in the world today doesn’t it… the rich get richer, the corrupt become even more so, and we seem to be stuck in a void where we just go on trying to live as God wants us to live.  But we have to remember, no matter what physical treasure the evil and corrupt build up here on earth, they are only temporary… our true treasures are the ones we build in the eternal kingdom of heaven.  I’m not saying that it isn’t nice to have things, but we can’t let it become our primary reason for living, “Oh the newest X-Box is supposed to make it seem like you’re really there.” This is our one life and what do you want God to say at the end of it, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Or, “Away from me I never knew you.”
