John 18:39-40

1 01 2011

John 18:39) “But you heave a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover.  Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”

John 18:40) Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man,but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was robber (Murderer)

Just days before these people were crying ‘Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ and now they would rather have a robber and a murderer.  So how many people in today’s world are like them… would profess to love the Lord with their lips and when things get hard say, ‘Why would a loving God do this to me…’ or ‘I knew this religion stuff was bogus…’ he was delivered into the hands of sinners and died for us and yet we are worse than ever… we are liars, hypocrites, gossips, lovers of money and ourselves.  Do not think that I mean the people outside the church, for those who have not heard are still ignorant and can be made aware, but the people who are inside the church who do these things are truly condemned… but through Him who was crucified we have been forgiven… but to those who say they are Christian and yet live no differently than an atheist, are they any better than Judas, or Ananias and Sapphira.  Would you betray Him for money or to stay your physical death and condemn your soul.
